Having good credit isn’t just about your score, it’s also about how your credit report is structured. Before applying for funding, make sure to meet the following 6 credit data points:

  • 100% payment history (makes up 35% of credit score)

  • 1-9% credit card utilization (makes up 30% of credit score)

  • No derogatory marks (collections, chargeoffs, bankruptcies, etc)

  • 5+ years average age of credit (makes up 15% of credit score)

  • 3 or less hard inquiries (makes up 10% of credit score)

  • 10 open positive primary accounts (makes up 10% of credit score)
